Create and manage custom fieldsUpdated 7 months ago

You can create and edit unlimited custom fields, so you can really make your CRM work for your business.

Adding custom fields
To add a custom field, select the gear icon within your CRM table and then click "+ Add new field." You will be given 7 different field types to choose from:

  • Text: the most flexible field type, which can be used for almost anything
  • Number: a simple numerical field
  • Money: a great option if you have custom rates for each client
  • Date: can be used to track service dates, birthdays, anniversaries, etc.
  • Checkbox: a simple yes/no field
  • Dropdown: perfect for selecting from a standard list of items
  • Rating: a star scale that allows you to assign a rating to a customer

Once you've selected a field type, you need to give your field a descriptive name and customize the field options (if applicable).

Viewing custom fields
Now that you've added a custom field, you'll see it on all of your individual customer records.

To view custom fields as a column in your CRM table view, simply click the same gear icon and then click on the field name you would like to add. If a field is not already visible, you will find it under Available columns.

To remove a column from your CRM table view, you can simply click on the field name in the list of Visible columns and this will move it to Available columns.

Editing custom fields
To edit a custom field, click the gear icon and then click on the pencil icon associated with the field you'd like to edit. All custom fields are editable, as well as the default Status and Source fields. The remaining default fields cannot be edited.
