Why is there a Proposition 65 warning on my packing slip?Updated 4 days ago

California’s Proposition 65 requires warnings on products that may expose consumers to certain naturally occurring substances above very low threshold levels. This applies to many dietary supplements—even those made with natural ingredients—because trace amounts of these substances can be present in soil and water and may accumulate in plants.

It’s important to note that exposure levels are minimal and well below the safety limits established by the FDA and EPA. Many everyday foods contain similar or higher levels but are not subject to the same labeling requirements. Prop 65 is a California-specific law, which is why you may see this warning on products shipped to California but not elsewhere in the U.S.
